In this Tony and Pulitzer Prize award winning  musical you’ll Dan who’s an architect; Diana who rushes to pack lunches and pour cereal; their daughter and son are bright, wise-cracking teens, appearing to be a typical American family. And yet their lives are anything but normal because the mother has been battling bipolar disorder for 16 years. This deeply moving musical showcases vocal talents with an energetic pop/rock score. Next to Normal is an emotional powerhouse that addresses such issues as grieving a loss, ethics in modern psychiatry, and suburban life.

Utah Valley Players is a non-profit organization that was founded in 2017 by Zack Elzey when he was a sophomore in high school. The mission of Utah Valley Players is to enlighten, educate, and entertain by giving the youth of the community the opportunity and experience of community service through the arts, thus creating lasting friendships with their peers. Over the years, the company has produced several productions including many of Shakespeare's classics, Broadway musicals, and new works.
