Set in 1930’s Berlin during the twilight of the Jazz age as the Nazis are ascending to power, the musical focuses on the hedonistic nightlife at the seedy Kit Kat Klub and revolves around American writer Clifford Bradshaw's relations with English cabaret performer Sally Bowles. Overseeing the action is the Master of Ceremonies at the Kit Kat Klub, and the club itself serves as a metaphor for ominous political developments in late Weimar Germany. The musical depicts Weimar-era Berlin during this chaotic interwar time period as a carnival of debauchery and despair inhabited by desperate people who are unaware of the national catastrophe that awaits them.
This musical contains strong sexuality, mild violence, and pregnancy loss. This production may not be suitable for all audiences.

Daydreamer Theatre Company is was founded and is owned by Kacey Spadafora. While earning his undergrad in Theatre Arts at Utah Valley University, he discovered my love for directing and passion for theatre. To help give voice to underrepresented artists in his area I co-founded An Other Theater Company (another presenter at the Utah Valley Theatre Festival) in Provo, Utah. He later went on to found Daydreamer Theatre Company. Kacey has directed over 20 productions, been featured on local year-end best-of theater lists, and found his voice.
